2.1 Eligibility and bookings
Applications are assessed based on intended use, availability, and policy compliance.
Details for each individual library meeting room for hire are at Meeting rooms for hire – Libraries Tasmania. Rooms are generally offered during library opening hours, with after-hours access at some locations.
To hire a room, applicants must:
- be aged 18 years or above
- check room availability with the library
- accept the Terms and Conditions of Use and the Meeting Room Hire Policy
- submit the Meeting Room Hire Application
- await confirmation before promoting the event
- arrange payment with library staff.
To support equitable access, Libraries Tasmania:
- limits recurring bookings to a maximum of 12 months and restricts usage to no more than 10 hours per week per individual/organisation, unless other arrangements are made with the site manager
- does not accept ongoing, permanent bookings.
