5.3 Unacceptable behaviour raising concerns of child abuse
If an individual’s behaviour poses a risk to a child’s safety or raises concerns of potential abuse, staff will act immediately by:
- Contacting Tasmania Police.
- Contacting the Strong Families Safe Kids Advice and Referral Line (ARL) on 1800 000 123.
- Following the established internal DECYP process for concerns, information and incidents of child abuse.
Libraries Tasmania is committed to keeping our children and young people safe. All staff and volunteers are legally required to report any concern about suspected, or disclosed, abuse of a child or young person.
