Libraries Tasmania Bookmark Competition

Congratulations to all the children and young people who submitted beautiful bookmark designs in Libraries Tasmania’s Bookmark Competition in response to the Children’s Book Council of Australia (CBCA) Children’s Book Week, theme ‘Read, Grow, Inspire’.

The winning bookmarks have been professionally printed and are now in libraries around Lutruwita/Tasmania.

Heartfelt thanks to every participant, their families, and all those who supported over 2,400 bookmark designs – showing that the spirit of ‘Read, Grow, Inspire’, and love of books and storytelling is alive and thriving in Tasmania.

Here’s to fostering a lifelong love of reading in Tasmania’s young people.

The 2023 winners in each of the five age groups are:

  • Charlotte, 5, Whitemark Library (4–6 years)           
  • Arki, 8, Kingston Library (7–9 years)
  • Olivia, 11, Launceston Library (10–12 years)               
  • Ruby, 13, Smithton Library (13–15 years)   
  • Meining, 16, Hobart Library (16–18 years)
