Libraries Tasmania’s Meeting Room Hire Policy supports our aim for all Tasmanians to be connected with reading and ideas, and our histories and cultures, in welcoming, safe and inclusive spaces.
Libraries Tasmania’s public library network provides valuable community engagement opportunities by offering low-cost library meeting rooms for hire, subject to application approval. All bookings must align with this Policy, which guides application assessment.
Room hire approval is at Libraries Tasmania’s discretion. Approving meeting room hire does not constitute Libraries Tasmania’s endorsement of the views, beliefs, or activities of the individuals or organisations hiring the rooms.
Libraries Tasmania has the right to decline room hire applications or cancel existing bookings if they do not comply to the provisions or intent of this Policy or any other Libraries Tasmania policies.
