Fees for lost or damaged items
If you have accidentally lost or damaged an item, we’ll only ask you to pay a fair replacement cost based on the item’s age and condition.
You can provide a replacement copy of a lost or damaged item if the copy is the same title and in as-new condition.
Libraries Tasmania does not charge overdue fines.

Meeting room hire
Some of our libraries have meeting rooms for hire. Fees charged depend on whether it is for commercial use or not-for-profit use. See the fees table on Meeting rooms at your library for more information.
Copying, printing and scanning
Copies can be made in line with copyright requirements for personal use only. If a copy is for publication, you must ask permission. See our Copies from our collections page for more information.

Course fees
Adult Education course fees are in the Adult Education Course Guide. Fees are payable at the time of enrolment online, or by phone or in person at your local library.
On occasion, we may charge a cost recovery fee for an event or program held at one of our libraries.
