Student Placements
Libraries Tasmania welcomes applications for work-based learning placements.
School students can contact their local library for information about work experience opportunities.
Students enrolled in a library, archive or information studies course accredited by the Australian Society of Archivists (ASA) or the Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA) can apply via our online form.
Currently, we are only able to offer placements to Tasmanian residents. All placements are in person, we do not offer virtual placements at Libraries Tasmania.
To offer placements we require a minimum of eight weeks’ notice, please allow as much time as possible so we can organise the best placement for you. All applicants are required to have a current registration of Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP).
