3.10 Performance Management

A volunteer’s performance and conduct is managed in line with principles of confidentiality, natural justice and procedural fairness.

A volunteer has the right to regular feedback, including being made aware of any issues or problems as they arise.

The volunteer must be given a reasonable opportunity to state their case.

Volunteer coordinators may involve their manager in any volunteer performance concerns if necessary. Human Resources may also be contacted for advice.

If the issue/s are serious or continue after the volunteer has been given a warning, the volunteering arrangement may be terminated.

Any discussions about a volunteer’s performance must be documented.
