Event Description
Helping someone get their driver’s licence can be a huge step towards employment, independence and opportunity, particularly in regional and rural communities.
This practical train the trainer workshop introduces updated Road Rules training resources designed to suit different learning styles, making it easier for learners to understand, remember and apply the information they need to become safe and confident drivers.
This workshop is delivered over two 2-hour sessions, giving you time to explore the updated resources, consider different approaches to supporting learners and build confidence in using the materials.
Monday 9 November 2:00 pm – 5:00 pm and
Tuesday 10 November 9:30 am – 12:30 pm.
Whether you already deliver Road Rules training or are looking for fresh ways to support learners, come along to explore the updated resources and discover how they can be used to make learning more engaging and effective.
The session builds on the Statewide Road Rules Training delivered since April 2017 and provides an opportunity to get up to date with the latest resources.Kim Smith APM (Rotary Club of Sullivans Cove) will present the training on the usage of the recently redesigned visual and tactile Road Map packs. Kim Smith APM is a retired Police Officer and the recipient of the 2022 Tasmanian Local Hero Award, as part of the Australian of the Year National Awards. He is a registered Learner’s Licence Accredited Program Instructor.
