Event Description
Numbers are the Devil’s Work is a sharp and witty work of political fiction in which the death of the Tasmanian Premier leaves a minority government on the brink. To shore up support, Deputy Premier Bernard Wynyard turns to Beverley Petersen, a former candidate from the west coast, but quickly discovers she is not someone who can be easily controlled.
Paul Frisby writes contemporary fiction with a touch of humour, dealing with serious issues in an approachable context . He has been writing since 2007 with nine published works. Since retiring to Queenstown nearly nine years ago he has had three novels published, spends his time enjoying his classic cars and rebuilding a horsedrawn carriage.
In this engaging conversation, Paul will discuss the inspiration behind his latest novel, its blend of humour and political intrigue, and the uniquely Tasmanian setting that brings this entertaining story to life.
