Event Description
Discover the exciting world of 3D printing in this hands-on workshop designed for young makers and creators.
Participants will learn the basics of 3D design and create a personalised bag tag featuring their name or initials. Once the design is complete, library staff will demonstrate how a 3D printer turns a digital model into a real object.
During this workshop, participants will:
- Learn how 3D printing works
- Design a personalised bag tag
- Add their name, initials or simple shapes to their design
- Take home their completed bag tag*
No previous experience is required and all materials and equipment will be provided.
Suitable for ages 8-14 years.
Free event. Bookings essential as places are limited.
*Please note: Depending on printing times, completed bag tags may be available for collection at a later date.
Parking:
- Library parking – Corner of Terry Street and Barry Street – Maximum 2-hour parking
- Glenorchy City Council Carpark off Barry Street - Maximum 2-hour parking
- Free on weekends
