The Writers’ Rooms have been set up to help writers and creatives work on their projects and grow Tasmanian storytelling and literature.

The rooms were established following Hobart’s designation as a UNESCO City of Literature and are available to individuals or groups who need a space for writing activities.

Writers’ Room 1 is a meeting room that seats up to 10 people and provides access to Teams.

Writers’ Room 2 seats two people.

Each room has desks, chairs, power points and free Wi-Fi.

The Writers’ Rooms sit alongside the Tasmanian Voices: the writers who make us program at the State Library and Archives of Tasmania.

It is free to book a Writers’ Room.
