Get ready for the Big Summer Read school holiday program!

This year’s program is part of the Big Summer Read and bigger than ever. Enjoy free and fun activities at your local library, including silent reading parties, zine making, writers’ club, console and board game meetups, and graphic novel and comic workshops.

School is out and the summer school holiday program is here! Activities run from Monday 12 January to Sunday 1 February. Everyone is welcome.

The Big Summer Read is a free reading club for young people up to 18 years old. Keep your reading skills sharp, explore new books, write reviews, try fun reading challenges and win prizes!

The Big Summer Read is on until 31 January and registration is free. Register now and log your reading.

School holiday activity highlights across Tasmania

Our Big Summer Read ambassador, Alyssa Bermudez, will be running eight comic and graphic novel workshops at libraries across the state. There will also be fun mask-making activities and Storytime sessions inspired by Alyssa’s book Lucia the Luchadora.
