Weβre celebrating TasPride 2026 with a range of free activities across the state in February, including:
π Rainbow Library Cards
Choose a bright and colourful rainbow library card design when you become a member. These popular cards were first introduced during TasPride celebrations in 2024.
π Displays
Keep an eye out for some wonderful displays, including titles from the LGBTIQA+ collection.
Activities in the North West
Get a free pride pin from the front desk of libraries.
At Devonport Library, Working It Out will run OUTspace sessions on Thursday 12 February and Thursday 26 February from 4:00 pm to 5:30 pm. (These sessions continue throughout the year.)
Activities in the North
Launceston Library is running a Social Impact Connection (SIC) Space Youth Drop-in session on 10 February, 17 February and 24 February from 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm. The sessions, in partnership with headspace and Working It Out, are safe, casual spaces to chill out. They provide an inclusive environment for LGBTIQA+ youth and allies to connect year-round during term times. Ages 15-25.

Language Matters
Understand key concepts around how identity and language and how language can be used to support inclusion for people of diverse gender, sex or sexuality. In partnership with Working It Out.

Being LGBTIQA+ Inclusive
Learn about LGBTIQA+ inclusion through a range of interactive learning activities. Participants will become familiar with LGBTIQA+ terminology and learn how to make everyday activities and organisational practices more inclusive. In partnership with Working It Out.

Pride Month Crafternoon
Celebrate Pride Month with crafty and creative goodness! Working It Out Crafternoons are for anyone over 18 from the LGBTIQA+ community (allies are welcome) to hang out in a chill space and be creative. You donβt have to stay for the whole event, and all skill levels are invited to join.

Pride Rocks 1β28 February 2026
Come and decorate a rock showing what TasPride means to you at Glenorchy, Kingston, Bridgewater, New Norfolk and Huonville libraries. Decorated rocks will be displayed in the library or you can take yours with you.
