177 Nations of Tasmania

A free exhibition celebrates the diverse stories and journeys of international Tasmanians who now call the island state their home.

177 Nations of Tasmania is a vibrant exhibition about Tasmania’s diverse migrant community by Mark Thomson and Andrew Wilson.

Photographic portraits and narrative text describe the personal journeys of people who come from one of the 177 nationalities that make up Tasmania’s diverse population.

The exhibition is on display at select libraries across Tasmania, allowing these communities to experience the incredible stories and photographs.

Launceston Library will show the full exhibition.

Other libraries will feature a partial display.
