Weaving Wonders from Waste: Create Baskets with Plastic Bags and Textiles workshop introduces kids to the art of sustainable basket making!

Weaving Wonders from Waste: Create Baskets with Plastic Bags and Textiles workshop introduces kids to the art of basket making using an unexpected material: plastic bags!

Kids will learn how to prepare plastic bags by cleaning and creating “plarn”, or plastic yarn, and combining it with fabric and found objects such as feathers and shells.

The workshop covers basic techniques and patterns, enabling kids to hand sew a unique and durable basket.

Gain a new perspective on waste and learn creative ways to transform everyday materials into beautiful and functional objects!

Presented by Wild Stitch Studio.
