NFHM: Using TROVE for Family History Research

National Family History Month: Training Room workshop with Anthony Black Librarian, State Library and Archive Service

Part of Libraries Tasmania’s National Family History Month (NFHM) event series.

About:

Learn the basics of searching for your ancestors using TROVE online historic newspapers. The session will consist of a tutor demonstration, and practical time doing your own searching with friendly assistance. Windows laptops supplied; basic computer skills required; limited to 10 people. The Training Room is accessed from the Library’s car park, corner of Murray and Bathurst streets.

Please note parking near the library is limited. As a courtesy to the speaker and other attendees, we ask that you allow ample time to arrive and be seated before the advertised start time. What are my transport/parking options for the event?

Hobart Central Car Park is located on Melville Street, with walkway access to Bathurst Street. Find the location on Google maps

Buses are available on Elizabeth St and are within 10 minutes walking distance.
