Library Shelfie Day takes place on the fourth Wednesday of January each year. The New York Public Library launched this fun tradition in 2014.

Join us at the library and snap a “shelfie” – a selfie with your favorite book or in front of your favorite spot in the library! Don’t forget to share it using the hashtag #LibraryShelfie and #LibrariesTasmania

Get creative! You could take a picture with your top favourite books or hold an open book in front of your face. We can’t wait to see how imaginative your shelfie is.

Who knows – you might even spot our staff taking their own shelfies!
