Boasting more than 45 million items, the National Archives of Australia collection is a treasure trove of Commonwealth government history dating from 1901. We are sure to hold information relevant to your research!

The national archival collection is diverse, comprising paper files, photographs, digital images, audio-visual material, maps and plans.

To assist you in navigating the vast collection, we will guide you through our website, how to search for records of interest, explore the services that we provide online and in our research centres nationwide.
