In 2024 Libraries Tasmania engaged 3P Advisory to undertake a review to determine the most effective means of supporting the digital inclusion needs of all Tasmanians. The Digital Inclusion Review report [PDF 5.0 MB] has now been released.
The Tasmanian Government has not formally accepted the report’s recommendations. In 2025, there was a further consultation process with Online Access Centres. Four centres will merge with their local libraries. The other eleven centres will continue to receive funding, with increased grants from July 2026.
