During Adult Learners Week adults of all ages and experiences can try something new and different.

Adults can try a variety of free activities:

Adults can connect with free learning opportunities at libraries in their local communities such as:

  • learning how to speak English
  • developing reading, writing and maths skills, and digital skills
  • craft, author talks, gaming, film showings
  • researching family history.

People are welcome to come into the library at any time to chat about learning and find out about free resources and support in a welcoming space.

Libraries Tasmania Network Director Simon Jones said, “Adult learners are the builders of their own futures, and libraries provide the tools for success.

Adult Learners Week highlights the importance of lifelong learning in supporting personal growth. At Libraries Tasmania we encourage everyone to take that first step, discover a new passion and learn something different every day.”

Discover the free programs and services at local libraries by asking staff, or book online on Eventbrite:  Adult Learners Week. Libraries Tasmania is here for you, every step of the way.
