Throughout the month of February, Libraries Tasmania is inviting Tasmanians to “show the love” for libraries, inspired by the Australian Library and Information Association’s (ALIA) annual Library Lovers’ Day.
Library Lovers’ Day will be celebrated nationally on 14 February 2022.
Library lovers can show the love by borrowing a book, returning their loans, or visiting any of the 46 public libraries around Tasmania. Members will rediscover the childlike feeling of getting lost in an old favourite, or the thrill of a new world.
It has never been easier access the library, borrowing and returning items when it suits. With ten 24/7 return chutes around the state, the new Libraries Tasmania Lending App, and a huge range of online resources, Tasmanians can fall in love with a story anywhere,
anytime.
“Imagine borrowing from over 600,000 items, from books to eBooks, no matter where If you live in Deloraine and want a book located in Queenstown, Libraries Tasmania makes it easy for you to enjoy the book!” said Garry Conroy-Cooper, Manager of Launceston Library.
