Media Release
8th June 2021
Libraries Tasmania holds a wealth of cultural stories in its care – and these stories are not just the books that our community knows and loves the library for, but historical items, images and the documented lives of past Tasmanians.
But what happens to those ‘stories’ inside the library when the doors close at the end of the day and the lights go out? On our shelves stand thousands of books. In our archives sit hundreds and hundreds of objects, artworks and artefacts … Are they sharing their stories?
On one special night, you will have the chance to find out – as the doors to Hobart’s iconic 91 Murray Street building open after dark and we present a mesmerising digital canvas, lighting up the inside and outside of this heritage-listed structure.
Join us to experience Tasmanian stories brought to life!
