Families looking for school holiday fun this spring can find free activities at their local library.
The Libraries Tasmania spring school holiday program offers lots of fun ways for children and young people of all ages to learn and connect with others in their community.
“There are so many ways for young people to explore, create, and connect through engaging activities at their local library.” said Angela Sferco, Children and Young People Services Coordinator.
“Libraries across the state become hubs of imagination and discovery throughout October’s school holidays.”
Families can find activities at libraries across the north, north west, and south of Tasmania and book online.
Highlights for young storytellers include:
- Keen to Zine sessions for children and teenagers at Launceston Library
- Stop Motion Movies at Huonville Library
- Writing Workshop with author Danny Gunn at Devonport Library
Highlights for young scientists include:
- Balloon Rockets at Glenorchy Library
- Children’s Tulip Hunt at Wynyard Library
- Big Bang Fun at Scottsdale Library and St Helens Library
Highlights for young artists include:
- Crafty Underwater Creatures at Ravenswood Library
- Egg Carton Portraits at Kingston Library
- Canvas and Cookies at Kinimathatakinta/George Town Library
