Search HelpComputers are central to life today. But did you know that computers really caught on in homes in the 1980’s? Join us as we learn to program in the BASIC language that was widely used in that decade. It’s a great way to learn logic and take control of a computer. Let’s go back to the 80s!
This program is for ages 11+
This is a four week program with different activities each week building on the last. The participants are committing to all four weeks.
Week 1 – 14 February 2025
Week 2 – 21 February 2025
Week 3 – 28 February 2025
Week 4 – 7 March 2025
To ensure a successful event, please:
• Don’t attend if you are unwell
• Let us know if you can’t attend so we can offer your place to someone else
• Practise COVID safe behaviours
• Let us know if you have any support needs, or if a support person will be coming with you.
Accessibility:
• There is one disabled access carpark available in front of the Ulverstone Library on King Edward Street.
• All day free parking is available on Patrick Street, as well as in the Victoria Street Carpark, Civic Centre Carpark and the Quadrant Carpark. Both Victoria Street Carpark and Quadrant Carpark provide additional disabled access parking.
• An accessible ramp and stairs provide access to the Ulverstone Library via wide automatic doors.
• Ulverstone Library is situated on one level with an accessible bathroom and baby change facility available inside the building.
