The West Coast Space Show brings a team of scientists, a big telescope, real space artefacts, and even a Planetarium show to the West Coast of Tasmania. Catch us in Strahan, Queenstown, Zeehan, Ulverstone, or Devonport this National Science Week.
Come along for a family-friendly hour of fun facts and stories about our unique night sky and all the things it affects — from new spacecraft missions, to ancient space history, to serious science, all focused on the unique strengths of our beautiful lutruwita/Tasmania. Then, we’ll switch to a series of interactive activities to get attendees of all ages involved in space fun they can do from home — including a look through a high-powered telescope (weather permitting), and a live tour of the night sky.
Free, family friendly, and interactive. Attendees of all ages are welcome to bring their trickiest questions or relevant artefacts to be a part of the fun.
