Watch archived Tasmanian footage for free! Old films have new life thanks to Digitisation Services at Libraries Tasmania. A new film scanner allows higher quality scanning of archived films showing improved colour and much more detail than was possible before.

We are scanning both newly digitised films unseen by the public, and previously scanned films.

Below you can see the difference in quality between the newly remastered version of Mountain Valley [AB869-1-1849] and the older version. Enjoy exploring Tasmania’s history through a bright new lens.
