Keeping your child safe online – Presented by ThinkUKnow – Kingston Library

11 February at 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm

This session for parents and carers will provide you with the tools to create a safer online environment for your children and young people.

This is a must attend session if you have kids online, particularly those in to gaming and social media. Suitable for primary and high school parents/grandparents/carers.

Think U Know what your kids are doing online?

ThinkUKnow Australia delivers presentations to parents, carers and educators to provide you with the tools to create a safer online environment for children and young people, and empower you to feel confident in guiding them as they access the internet and use technology.

Topics discussed in the presentations raise awareness about online child sexual exploitation. These include:

  • Privacy and preventing inappropriate contact
  • Sharing personal information
  • Online grooming
  • Self-generated content
  • Taking action
  • How to get help and report.

ThinkUKnow Australia is an evidence-based education program led by the Australian Federal Police (AFP), delivered nationally in partnership with police and industry partners to prevent online child sexual exploitation.

For more information, you can visit www.thinkuknow.org.au or contact Sonya at Kingston Library.

The Library closes to the public at 6pm, so please ensure you are in the building by 6pm in our meeting room and seated as this is an after hours event.

To ensure a successful event, please:
